Cobra Electronics XRS 9950 12 Band Radar Laser Detector Review

I have used different radar laser detectors. But the Cobra Electronics XRS-9950 12 Band Radar Laser Detector that I purchased last month has been the best till date. What is unique about this device is that it has voice alert and even a strobe alert which is missing in most other devices available in the market. The display screen is about 1.5 inches and it has full color as well as bright graphics. The device uses the Xtreme Range Superheterodyne Technology which detects all the 12 laser and radar bands. It has a super fast lock which enables total protection of the car. It gives me the best warning and that too in advance.

An added feature is that it has an eight point compass and also detects low car battery. But the feature that I love the most is the voice alert as it is not available in most of the other products. In fact even friends who have seen this device in my car have been amazed with its accuracy and early warning. It also has an optional GPS locator which I find to be extremely useful. It looks stylish too with its elegant looks and sleek design. The 3D color display ensures that you get the best visibility and clarity. When I bought it I thought it wouldn’t be of much use to me, however it’s been of immense use while on the road.

The digital voice alert actually has worked many times and alerted me at the right time. It also has a VG 2 as well as a specter immunity alert that keeps me alert. The features are good and the device is easy to use and understand. I have used some other products earlier, but the Cobra Electronics XRS-9950 12 Band Radar Laser Detector has surpassed the quality of all the other detectors I have used. My family members who use the car at times also have told me that the device performs really well. It’s a bit huge, but never mind the size as it performs really well. It is definitely worth the money you spend in buying it.
